Nepal Family Holidays
Family adventure holidays to Nepal including a short and scenic Himalayan trek, city tours and elephant back safari.
This is a leisurely family holiday with your kids, full of activities that would be enjoyed by both yourself and the kids. The programmes are so arranged as to provide enough time for fun among families and not to keep the kids tired.
We visit the monuments and heritage sites in Kathmandu and also the busy and colourful local markets. Then we fly to Pokhara where we watch the spectacular Himalayas from your hotel garden, visit the caves and waterfalls and go for boating on the Phewa lake. Pokhara is a holiday town with a relaxed atmosphere. You can walk the lovely market along the lake, enjoy good foods on many of the restaurants and play with your kids. We then take you for a three day fantastic easy trek to the Annapurna foot hills. The mountain sceneries on the trek is quite superb. The lodges on the trek provide good basic facilities, though not luxury and offer continental and Nepali foods which you can choose from an a la carte menu.
After Pokhara we drive on our private vehicle to Chitwan national park, a 5hrs drive to lowland Terai and stay in an safari resort by the park .There you will enjoy elephant back safari , bird watching , canoe ride , elephant breeding centre visit( can see several baby elephants too), elephant bathing programme etc.. Asian rhinos, different species of deers, crocodiles, boars, peacocks etc are among the animals seen .This is a highly enjoyed and highly recommended family holiday with us.
As for the trekking part, you can go for a longer trek of 5 or 6 days or a shorter one of even two days, depending on what suits your family best (though we have a three day trek here).
Please visit our Nepal Jungle Safari page for further information on the safari tour or Ghandruk Cultural Trek page for more information on the three day short trek.
