Varanasi is one the sacred places of India and one of the most visited tourist destinations in North India.
It is considered as the spiritual capital of India and hence draws numerous pilgrims from across the world. Devotees visit this place to take holy dip in River Ganges and to perform rituals on its banks. It is said that people who bathe in River Ganges get their sins washed.
The city is famous for its narrow winding streets hosting around 2,000 temples, among which the Kashi Vishwanath or the “Golden Temple,” is famous. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The divine Ghats of Ganges in Varanasi and the activities held on these Ghats attract numerous tourists. The Ghats of Varanasi are thronged by pilgrims waiting for their turn to take a holy dip in the sacred water of Ganges to get their sin washed away.
Itinerary
- Day 01: Arrival in Delhi, transfer to hotel.
- Day 02: Delhi
After breakfast at Hotel. full day old delhi & New Delhi sightseeing. Covering Jama Masjid, Red Fort, Chandani Chowk, Rajghat and India Gate, President House, parliament house, Lotus temple, Qutub Minar. Overnight at Hotel. - Day 03: Delhi - Jaipur
After breakfast at hotel, drive to Jaipur. Upon arrival check in to hotel. - Day 04: Jaipur
In the morning visit Hawa Mahal and afterthat visit Amber Fort, City palace and Observatory. - Day 05: Jaipur - Fathepusikri - Agra
After breakfast drive to Agra en-route visit Fathepursikri. Upon arrival check in to hotel. Afternoon sightseeing for Agra fort. - Day 06: Agra
In the morning sightseeing of Taj Mahal.
Completed in 1653 A.D, The Taj Mahal built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan as the final resting place for his favourite Queen, Mumtaz. - Day 07: Agra - Jhansi (by Shatabdi Express train)- Khajuraho (by Road)
After early breakfast transfer to Railway Station to board at Shatabadi Express for Jhansi.
Afternoon sightseeing tour western group of temple. - Day 08: Khajuraho - Varanasi (by flight)
Half-day sightseeing tour of Khajuraho. Afternoon fly to Varanasi. Upon arrival at Varanasi. Enroute visit Sarnath. Sarnath - where the Buddha preached his first sermon in the Deer Park, contains the most impressive remains, as well as a modern temple Transfer to hotel. - Day 09: Varanasi
Early morning visit the sacred river Ganges before sunrise, to see how the Hindus of Varanasi pray to the rising Sun and then pray to the river Ganges. Enjoy a boat ride on the Ganges and see the cremation grounds from the boat. Return to your hotel for breakfast. Later visit the Golden Temple, Bharat Mata Temple and Birla (Shiva) Temple. In the afternoon transfer to Airport to fly for delhi. Upon arrival farewell dinner at Restaurant followed by Indian folk dances from different States.
