This region lies immediately north of Pokhara and boasts some of the highest and most beautiful mountains of the world .It stretches form foot hills near Pokhara to the Tibet like arid land on the other side of Himalaya. Obviously , a trek in Annapurna region is full of beautiful mountain scenery, exposure to different cultural groups and diverse plants and wildlife.

This makes Annapurna the most popular of Nepal's trekking regions. The mountains in this region include the Machhapuchare, Dhaulaghiri, and the Annapurna range , they are the ones that dominate the skyline of Pokhara.
